STAB Survey
In an effort to serve you better, I’d like you to post a few comments on the STABlog about your thoughts on our little group.
There is no form, so I’ll give you some suggested topics to discuss:
What do you like most about STAB?
What do you like least about STAB?
Has STAB helped you in your school/work/life?
Why did you join STAB? And why do you continue to attend?
What STAB services do you use? ie: STABlog, MySTAB; STABucket, etc.
Doe STAB encourage you to visit the library more/read more/make new friends?
Does STAB encourage you to use library services (checking out books, use databases, etc.) or come to events (like SAT prep program, Manga classes)?
You should be able to post to the STABlog anonymously, so I would appreciate any comments you have, both good and bad. When you post it, it will say something about seeking administrator approval, which just means that they send me an e-mail telling me that I have a comment.
I’d like to have them done by March 30th, so you have some time to think about what you want to say. Thanks!

What do you like most about STAB?
I love that we get to read so many books that haven't been published yet! I also like the casual atmosphere that is also productive...usually :)
What do you like least about STAB?
I don't know...I really like all of it!
Has STAB helped you in your school/work/life?
It's made me procrastinate more on all my homework because I've been reading the STAB books!
Why did you join STAB? And why do you continue to attend?
I joined because I love to read and talk about the books I've read...STAB is satisfying my literary thirst, so why I would I stop going?
What STAB services do you use? ie: STABlog, MySTAB; STABucket, etc.
STABlog...occasionally MySTAB...mostly emailing Rick, though.
Doe STAB encourage you to visit the library more/read more/make new friends?
I read more...if that's even possible, but I don't really check out books anymore, because I'm getting all the books I need from STAB!
Does STAB encourage you to use library services (checking out books, use databases, etc.) or come to events (like SAT prep program, Manga classes)?
See above response.
1. Listening to people's view about different books, and then I can choose whether to applaud or sneer...jk, i mean deciding not to like it.
2. Food, but it is also my favorite. I think I just need some self-control instead of saying I like it the least.
3. STAB helps me to interact with more people, and a luckily a lot of people in STAB go to the same school with me. I'm also trying to improve my book-review and speech skills (if possible).
4. I joined STAB because it's not like extremely hard or challenging, and the location is good near where I live. I continue attending meetings because it doesn't interfere too much og my schedule. Also, if I'm a member then I should attend.
5. I think, but I might not read only the books in STAB. It does encourage me to visit library for community service hours.
6. I don't think my library habbit had changed ever since I joined STAB. I don't know most of the events in library.
What do you like most about STAB?
Hmmm..... I like listening to people's opinions on books. Also the chocolate and the laughing fits.
What do you like least about STAB?
Uhh..... Not sure? STAB is the best!
Has STAB helped you in your school/work/life?
STAB books give me a reason to not work on my homework. I don't know what else to put here.
Why did you join STAB? And why do you continue to attend?
I joined STAB because it is an awesome thing to do! Plus I like books. I continue to attend because we get unpublished books to read, community service hours for pretty much sitting, eating, and talking about my favorite subject, and because books are the best.
What STAB services do you use? ie: STABlog, MySTAB; STABucket, etc.
STABlog, mostly. And I email Rick.
Doe STAB encourage you to visit the library more/read more/make new friends?
STAB hasn't really changed my habits because I was already a library fiend. But I made new friends!
Does STAB encourage you to use library services (checking out books, use databases, etc.) or come to events (like SAT prep program, Manga classes)?
I actually don't really check out library books any more because I have STAB books. And my school has all of the databases, so pretty much no.
What do you like most about STAB?
I like being able to read books that other people don't get and then discussing them. It's really cool to be able to discuss the books with other teens who can talk intelligently about a book, which makes it even more fun.
What do you like least about STAB?
It's all fun!
Has STAB helped you in your school/work/life?
Well, I got to meet a publisher at the ALA thing who sent me some books, so that definitely counts as helping my life. And free books are always a plus. Knowing how to write a critical review is really helpful.
Why did you join STAB? And why do you continue to attend?
I joined partly because of my friend and partly because I wanted to get all the free books and be able to discuss them.
What STAB services do you use? ie: STABlog, MySTAB; STABucket, etc.
Sometimes I look at the STABlog, if Rick emails us and tells us there's something we should look at.
Doe STAB encourage you to visit the library more/read more/make new friends?
Well, I probably check out more books because I might not make the trip all the way to KCLS Shoreline if STAB wasn't there.
Does STAB encourage you to use library services (checking out books, use databases, etc.) or come to events (like SAT prep program, Manga classes)?
Checking out books, yes, but there's not a whole lot of other events I'd come to.

What do you like most about STAB?
Meeting up with other book nerds, talking about books, and enjoying ourselves at the library. And the free books are fantastic!!
What do you like least about STAB?
All meetings are on Tuesdays -- very hard to attend consistently with busy schedules.
Has STAB helped you in your school/work/life?
Big confidence booster, and a really fun thing to look forward to.
Why did you join STAB? And why do you continue to attend?
In truth, my mom thought it sounded really cool when I brought home a flyer... but then I had loads of fun each time I went to a meeting, and so I stayed!
What STAB services do you use? ie: STABlog, MySTAB; STABucket, etc.
Um, STABlog I guess... what is STABucket...? Nice job on the use "STAB" by the way.
Doe STAB encourage you to visit the library more/read more/make new friends?
Yes. Completely -- especially visit the library more!
Does STAB encourage you to use library services (checking out books, use databases, etc.) or come to events (like SAT prep program, Manga classes)?
Definitely -- the many emails actually help!
