Today was the Shoreline parade. It was perfect weather for a parade—bright, sunny and a tiny little breeze that turned our signs into petite sails that sent us spinning across the street. We looked like some kind of concrete parasailers. Our merry bunch of 15 souls marched proudly between a marching band in front and a large truck behind. It was a tiny bit claustrophobic.
Sadly, only 2 STABies came to the parade. I’d like to do a special shout-out to Kathryn and Chelsea who braved the elements and swelling crowds to march proudly and show their Shoreline pride. Represent! Sorry, got a bit excited there. Thanks to these two STABies all 10 of the signs created by our intrepid set of artists were showcased during the march.

Of course, the stars of the show were my 2 kids who rode in style in a little red wagon-future STABies to be sure.
To those of you who didn’t go, you missed some great donuts , a nice walk , my stellar company , loads of teeth rotting candy and cute children. Also, a bunch of volunteer hours . Hopefully, you’ve all learned your lesson and can come next year. Also, you can see more pictures of the event if you so choose at our STABucket site.
